shining
in the day’s last light
lightkeeper’s house
up late
disco ball moon dancing
through the trees
light and shadow
one maple leaf
already turning
another rainy day
pages of my calendar
turning themselves
morning coffee
watching the cardinal
bring a seed to his mate
summer romance
a breeze turns the pages
of her book
ripe plums
picked under a half moon
I saved you some
another thunderstorm
his grey sweatshirt
warm from the dryer
you took the words
right out of my mouth
wild blackberries
the widower's yard
turkey poults
gleaning bird seed
sense of dread
following voices of crows
down to the river
