the sagging porch
of a riverside tenement
starless night
the scent of lavender
from a bedside vase
offshore breeze
picking out heart rocks
amid tossed lobster shells
sea-worn stones . . .
a tern’s buoyant flight
along the shoreline
foggy ginko
a line of bright mugs
waits for hot tea
*ginko=an intentional walk, usually with other poets, to inspire haiku
waking to doves . . .
a tarnished mirror
in the old inn’s bathroom
an osprey nest
in the channel marker . . .
