wind chill
a dream of the tropics
resolves into ospreys
burying the goldfinch . . .
leafless branches clack
with each gust
finch breeze—
a neighbor’s pink sheets
flap on the line
a kinglet’s song
lost to the wind
fairy ring
wind eases open
the rusty garden gate
first grackles
March gusts —
sand sifts through
a broken snail shell
all-day blizzard
over the roar of the wind
roar of the plow
awaiting an answer
to my question
wind-creak of trees
wind chill
an eagle on lake ice
holds its pose
buzz of a junco
from the underbrush —
polar gusts
Samhain
the threshold swept clean
by the wind
