the first whiff
of spring in the air
skunk spray
clair de lune
inside and outside
the concert hall
winter sun
the rows of apple trees
waiting
snow moon
ground fog haunting
the frozen marsh
is that you
behind a veil of snow
Snow Moon
OR…
is that you
behind the seventh veil
Snow Moon
Which do you prefer?
air bubbles
trapped in ice the lives
beneath this one
freezing rain
the quick quiet
of each overpass
more snow
lingering in bed till
I smell coffee
the hidden meanings
in today’s crossword
winter deepens
midwinter dusk
crunching not sucking on
the lemon drops
keeping everything
to themselves
cedars in snow
