summer rain
I towel dry
my bare feet
afternoon rush hour
a gull flock hawks a hatch
of flying ants
he mows the lawn
on the shortest setting
divorce papers
always something
that could be worse
crab spider
letting my thoughts
go there
runaway truck ramp
trail side raspberries . . .
sharing stories
about bears
blueberry patch
the book I spend all summer
trying to finish
awake with a start
the crows call out
my alarm
not always easy
to find the bright side
underwing moth
Summertime . . .
in the park at night kids
chase their addictions
wildfire haze
reddens the sun
reddens the river
