a dagger moth
hangs under the porch light
summer’s end
a contact lens
balanced on my finger
morning dew
morning chill
at the porch light a cranefly
the size of my hand
mid-life crisis . . .
unable to throw out
my box of mix tapes
morning errands
we stop three times
for crossing turkeys
summer stars
beyond the streetlights
thousands of years apart
green tea in a can
the way this summer
has gone
last day of August
letting the calendar
linger in summer
end of August
our windowbox flowers
block out the sky
late summer bonfire
an owl calls in the dark
beyond our stories
haiku gathering . . .
in love
with the tiny tree frog
