gutters brimming over with rain the river
skunk cabbage . . .
arriving vultures
find a thermal
the weight of millenia
around my neck
ammonite pendant
my mother reports
her blackbird is back . . .
soft spots in lake ice
snowdrops . . .
the sopping school field
fills with geese
right out
the bedroom window
bare naked moon
late winter thaw . . .
mist wreaths the islands
locked in lake ice
hanging over us
an icicle
the length of March
where I’m headed
also an illusion
zodiacal light
across the river
a porch light comes on
first star
late winter
the snow plow scrapes away
my last dream
