vireo peeking out
from a chestnut tree
i needed that
all day long
back and forth in the fog
the same crows
accordion music
on a rainy day
the women dance
light conversation
stepping out
with the full moon
monarchs take flight
in the morning sun
another day
harvest moon
distant calls of birds
migrating in the dark
fall equinox
two crows perched
in a wind-blown spruce
raven too
greets the morning
island sunrise
heart-shaped petals
beaded with mist
island morning
so much depends upon
the red cider press
island farm
together in the dark
the heady scent
of fallen apples
