seven a.m.
and all is well
one crow calling
loon family
floating on the calm river
mom’s birthday
eating watermelon
on the back porch
summer rain
afternoon moon
improving the taste
of my sandwich
in just a few months
snow falling again
white hydrangea
pixellating
the inner harbor
afternoon fog
I’ve heard enough
at this point in summer
cardinal singing
old island quarry
even the beach stones
cut and polished
Sometimes when I’m writing outside, the haiku seem to simply present themselves.
today’s muse
blue damselfly pausing
on my laptop
i get it
damselfly landing again
on my laptop
we women
must stick together
blue damselfly
good sportsmanship
pausing the game
for a butterfly
cruising back roads
the quick bright lives
of moths in headlights
