moonset
a window cracked
for the last crickets
Also from Wild Graces yesterday…
a shakuhachi
waits on the table
morning crickets
evening cool
we turn off the fans
to hear crickets
summer
why can’t you stay
. . . crickets
fall as a verb
crickets chanting
within the gale
late summer fatigue
the slow unwinding
of cricketsounds
cricket crescendo
my neighbor’s sunflowers
begin to droop
thrum of crickets
who can even think straight
right now
meteor shower
the night air thick
with crickets
angle of light
the chirring of crickets
amplified
day after Labor Day
even the crickets
sound tired
