a fresh path
the south-facing slope
free of snow
sheltering in place
pressed against the window
pink petals
above it all
this deep blue sky
pandemic fears
almost spring
glowing in the window
amaryllis
palmetto breeze
a skittering leaf
becomes a wren
palmetto moon
a big bug scuttles
back down the drain
southern rain
live oaks dropping
last year’s leaves
Spanish moss
sways in a warm breeze
down time
worm moon
we crack a window
to let in birdsong
singing aloud
a phrase from an opera
moonrise
sap moon
on the sugar shack roof
a woodpecker drums
