rain on snow
a line of deer tracks softens
into hearts
we just might
get through this . . .
winter bluebirds
sunlit snow
my tracks crossing the tracks
of the grouse I flushed
ice storm
something not a bird
knocks at the suet
old snow
the wandering track
two cigarettes long
Imbolc
the scent of beeswax candles
in every room
winter storm watch
one star left
out the kitchen window
clear dusk
skim ice stills
the harbor
after the storm
playing in the snow
shadows of trees
blizzard
everything outside
scratching to come in
blizzard warning
all-day flurries
of feeder birds
