sunlit webs
a goldfinch pauses
on the last coneflower
some of her ashes
drift in the current . . .
grey seals singing
morning chill . . .
the bathroom spider
back in her corner
sun on goldenrod the flicker’s fanned tail
north wind
gulls eddying
above Casket Rock
gull clamor—
a seal’s bones
washed by surf
beach plums . . .
letting her in
on the secret
late summer
the tuna’s blue sheen
as it swings from the winch
new moon
lobster boats with women’s names
face into the tide
abandoned fog station
a swirl of gulls
above the perched eagle
night chill
waking to find
Orion in the window
