moon rising
over the cathedral
Christmas mass
Christmas market
warming my hands
on a bag of chestnuts
long drive north
are we following the road
or the crows
longest night
my neighbor’s Christmas lights
compete with the moon
late night bathroom visit
mooning
the setting moon
winter afternoon
sunlight illuminating
the jar of honey
waking to snow
how much we hide
beneath the surface
breakwater in snow
singing carols
to sea ducks
something in the air
reminiscent of spring
sparrow’s song
warm spell
porcupine enchanted
by still-green grass
backyard crow
clearly calling out
the cat
