river mist
starting to remember
how it feels
in the time it took
to read an email —
full-blown sunset
the gulls overhead
shining and white
gas station dumpster
spring snow
under the bird feeders
a squirrel’s eyes meet mine
spring snow the song sparrow still singing
alarm calls of jays
amid windchimes’ jangle
spring snow
the perched crow’s tail
ruddering with each gust —
spring gale
snow flurries
on the first day of spring
the same crows
equinoctial light
northbound buffleheads
halfway there
everything i want
right now
pussy willows
ides of March
a widowmaker creaks
in the oak grove
