March wind
painting an accent wall
sky blue
cabin fever
he texts me a photo
of swirling snow geese
venison stew . . .
talking at the table
till the candles gutter
overhearing
a murmured conversation
the river under ice
a chipmunk emerges
for about ten seconds
spring snow
above zero
the increasing flow
of birdsong
long road trip
the quantum leap
of crows
mall parking lot
long wolf whistles
from a starling
arriving geese . . .
a remote-controlled sailboat
skirts the harbor ice
buddha’s lap
full of snow
late winter
