dripping eaves . . .
a red squirrel’s tail
catches the sun
morning snowshoe
the deer have been
everywhere
Valentine’s Day snow
the fragile hearts
of deer tracks
awaiting an answer
to my question
wind-creak of trees
sunlight
dripping from an icicle
the cardinal’s short song
wicked early
a crow waiting
with snow on its bill
looking up to darkness
outside the window . . .
winter doom-scrolling
long cold night alone
but not alone
Super Bowl
wind chill
an eagle on lake ice
holds its pose
illuminated
by a host of gulls
fast-food dumpster
wide awake
the snow moon
centered in the skylight
