Mars at its brightest . . .
the not-so-distant glow
of wildfires
Thinking of all my friends and family in the LA area right now. Stay safe.
creaking pine boughs . . .
a rusted-out washtub
where the stone walls meet
spitting snow
my thoughts drift
to the deeryard
wind chill
a Valentine’s display
heats up a store window
snow filling in the blank sky
the river rushing past unfrozen wren chatter
a deer trail
parallels the shore . . .
moss under fresh snow
wind chill
seals lying low
on the seal cam
third day sleeping through the bluebirds
second day
crows carry off
their tribute
first day
a squirrel scurries upward
with a mouthful of leaves
